OK .. well here goes.
Charity Dyno Day at TDI in Thurrock...
We rocked up by 9am and mostly filled what later turned out to be next door's car park and stood about freezing to death !!
The roller-door went up and we were in, being greeted with a rather tidy and warm workshop, filled with many ridiculous vehicles (more on that later), but more importantly, donuts and a warm waiting room...!
Each run was being filmed..
and will be on YouTube later .. hopefully one of them will send Vicky the links ! :dead:
cheeky edit:
TDI's YT .. click here
.. and would get a print out with a calibrated ATH (at the hub) torque graph, and a table of figures too.
One of these..:
.. was bolted to each hub of the vehicle, and off they went with the run.
:approve:
So.. Postman Pat went first and did quite well IIRC:
(sorry for lack of pics dude .. it took me a while to warm up, but you've already had a bonus one above!)
Then it was me:
Results to follow, but I got 157.7HP / 134.4lb.ft ATH. Pretty happy TBQFH.
Next up was the dirty one.
Obviously I probably mean the car:
She did alright - 84HP ATH and 135lb.ft too. Shame it's change gear time before 3k .. stoopid diesels.
Next up was the Meg. It's yellow....
I've no idea who some of the following cars belong to, and absolutely no idea at all what any of them got, but here's some pics anyway..:
After that was the beast...
This sleeper is so sleepy, it's still running a 1.4 (no, not bar) under the hood, and 5 doors on the outside but fair play for getting involved !
Coming next was a 182 with girl coloured bits added:
While that was being finished off, VickyX was next. She was stuffing her face as normal.
This is where things got serious. Sh*t went green .. the intake welds blew off the Evo .. and nobody liked the tuna.
After they hosed the soot off the floor thanks to Vicky's hilariously NOS filler over-fulled final run, Struggler was up.
Did pretty well too IIRC, with a healthy AFR (take note, Victoria!!) too.
Last one of the day that I saw was this silver 172:
Hope that works OK second time round !!
