ET37s on a 182

  Dodgy one
I've picked up that as standard 182s run an offset of 45? If thats so bunging a different set of wheels on with an offset of 37 will they scrub?

My car is down approx 50mm over a standard one at the rear and 40mm at the front, I'd be fitting my 205s onto the wheels as they are 7" wide too. 8mm out does it make all the difference?

I've picked up mixed threads on 172 wheels that they are 45,37 and 35 offsets so a bit stuck ;)

Hopefully someones done it before and can comment

You'll basically be losing 8mm of clearance between the tyre shoulder and guards. On a stock height Cup there looks to be plenty of space, but 50mm lower could be interesting?

I'm going to be running the same off set 15" wheels with 205/50 tyres as soon as I buy some tyres to fit my rims! But I'm running stock Cup suspension.

You might have to run 195/55 tyres instead to get back some (5mm) of that lost clearance?

I'm running 16" et37 wheels on sportlines and it's ok, wouldn't want to go any lower though. With the drop you have I reckon you will start to get problems.

172 standard wheels are et48. I'm now on et38 and lowered 50-60mm. Got 205/45/16 on the back and have no probs, fronts are 195/45/16 and do get a bit of scrubbing but think that may be due to remains of the bumper bracket inside the front arches.

Just to note if you're going to carry people/heavy things in the back, then you might get scrubbing, hard to tell as mines been stripped since I changed wheels.
