Exhaust Advice

[Ben-182]

HI Everyone this is my 1st post.

I have got a 182 FF with the following Mods

Cat Cams
Inlet Matched
Angel Works Cylinder Head Mod
Yozza Decat
RS Tuning Remap.
ITG Filter.

My car was running very bad last month only 169BHP this was due to bent valves and compression of 140 and bad leakage.

Ben R has rebuilt my engine and is now holding compression.

The car feels smoother and more power, but I still feel as though its not producing what it should.

My question is, would an after market exhaust, yozza, gdi, miltek, improve power and help the above mods work to their best.

If it still doesn't feel right I doubt an exhaust will change anything. Exhausts usually give very little gains, it's usually the decat that makes the most difference but as you have a 182 it already has a free-er floowing cat than a 172.

I was just wondering if the standard exhaust was not allowing the gasses to flow out, thus not allowing the modifications to work at there best.

i'd put it back on the rollers to see what power you have now , expect 180 to 185 at least .:S

As said, exhaust wouldnt make much difference and you already have a de-cat which will make the biggest improvement. Get it on the rollers again if you think it isnt right.

Has it had a full re-build? If it has, then its basically a new engine and so will feel tight for a while.

Its had skimmed head and new exhaust and inlet valves. New cambelt.

The engine according to Ben is in good condition.
