exhaust doing my head in

Car  clio 192
Iv'e only had my 172 for a couple of months. The guy who had it before me has fitted a Blueflame exhaust which at first didn't bother me. I may just be being picky but the noise is really beginning to give me a headache after doing any type of speed for sustained amount of time. People are beginning to shy away from travelling anywhere in it coz you can't hold a conversation. Iv'e had a look and cant see any holes or obvious breaks in the wields. I have been around other cars that have upgraded exhausts but havn't seemed as noisy. Are Blueflame a bit shite?

I may look into tuning my clio further down the line but if this particular exhaust is going to add eff all to the performance at the mo whats the point in keeping it? I might as well pay for a standard one and wait.

f**k it off.!!!! They piss me off too, i just ran a de catted standard system, that was fine :) Zorsts are fine on a weekend car etc, but as an daily driver..... no deal!!!!

i had to remove my decat and refit the cat this morning. the noise of my milltek with a decat was just getting too much to bare! the milltek with a cat sounds perfect imo :)

Yeah, good set up that!!! Except mine fitted so w**k i fucked it off!!!! Too much stress in the system causing it to move when hot etc....

Well i had a quote today to replace the blueflame with a standard 172 exhaust and it was £ 500+ Renault are having a laugh. Anyone know of a good exhaust system that doesnt reverberate like a jet in a garage? and doesnt cost the earth?

From what I've read on posts here the Scorpion 192 one isn't too loud, and fits nicely....think there was going to be a group buy for 315 quid all in or something like that?

I run a prospeed zaust, which sounds and looks nice but needed wuite abit of adjusting to get it to fit right.

Im yet to see and after market exhaust that fits a car properly.

If folk are worried about noise just run a silenced decat. Exactly the same as a 'normal' decat bar less noise. Cost a bit more but then you cant put a price on your hearing ;)

As for a new exhaust, performance ones from Yozza, GDi, Ktec etc range from 300 - 400 quid
If you want cheaper, the only way is a custom built one from Powerflow etc

If you want to travel AAS in newcastle :D, they will set it to what ever noise you desire.
