HI all,
I've had my 05 Clio RS 182 for 7 months now. Its been working fine up to a few weeks ago. It always seems to have a few problems when I park it in a garage when I'm at work. Its a small 2 car only garage and usually when I get in it at about 10pm at night when work finishes I've had a few problems with it starting. However, during the day and when left outside it has no problems. I think its a damp sort of thing but dont really know.
The other thing I've noticed is that it still has its original twin exhaust system on it. NO holes or anything but I have noticed that quite a lot of water comes out of the exhaust. A friend of mine says it could be the head gasket about to go but there are no other assoicated problems - no milky residue on the oil cap, no engine temp problems etc - just the water.
Can anyone suggest what the problem is - exhaust or engine? I'm taking it in on thursday for a compression test - find out then I guess. Is that going to be expensive to put right. If so - does anyone in the London area know of any good mechanics ?
Otherwise everything else is fine...
Any helpful suggestions gratefully accepted...
Gary
