Exhaust Question?

I have a magnex 6x4 Oval on my 1.2 16 clio (2004) and i was wondering if i could take it over to a 1.6 16v clio (2004)?

Without any pipe size issues?

I dont believe so, i wanted an exhaust off someones 1.6 a while back but irrc it didnt fit...

yes, iirc all the magnex exhaust have the same bore size for the non RS clios

It says about the 1.2 16v and the 2.0 16v but not 1.6 16v.

Will they be the same as the 1.2?

2" should be fine on the 1.6 16v.

Don't tink you can, 1.6 and 1.4 have different cat's compared to the 1.2 so you wouldnt be able to swap them

i cant tell you why its true but yes looking at k-tecs site their exhausts are different for 1.2 and 1.6.

Putting me on teh spot! When looking for a cat for my 1.4 I remember being told that a 1.2 cat wouldnt fit.

Best bet is to ring a specialist and ask, Rentech for example!

or just have a reducer made? if the centre sections the same, any competant mechanic with a welder will be able to fit it for you...

Afaik for the standard systems the only difference between them is the bore size, but i'd check with k-tec or magnex themselves for some concrete info.

When i bought my back box for the 1.6 16v it said it fitted both the 1.4 16v and 1.2 16v when it arrived it came with a reducer pipe which I just cut to suit the bore on my system.
