Exhaust rubbers, again. (172 Cup)

I know there's a lot of talk about exhaust rubbers, what I want to do is just buy some OE ones and then I can take my old ones off, burn the rubber out and fit some poly thingies if and when I need them so..
What mounts are there for the 172 Cup and where do I get them? As far as I can see there's only two mounts and a clamp on the underbody. Correct?
What do those clamps even do?

Buy the BTM 172 mount. Its the best around.

I disagree, exhausts are supposed to move a bit. That mount adds stress further up the pipe which IMO isn't good.

I used some thick rubber just to stop the sagging worked for me. Sbridgey I agree with you after a while can course cracks ex... Through vibration

I dont think many have them, but they are the same as the ones on the 182 system, just for the 172 instead. Pick up the phone mate, its the only way.

This is the 182 mount. The 172 mount would be similar.

Hasn't been a problem on mine and its been on there for a year.
Ive not heard a bad thing about them and its better than doing a bodge job.
