Has anything new came onto the market in terms of sealing a exhaust once its been polished?
I want to protect the exhaust on my motorbike so were not talking just a tip but a whole backbox if you like. Anything that can withstand the hi temps?
Standard stainless steel exhaust its mainly watermarks which make it looks a bit shot having to give it a polish every 2 or so rides. It's was protected though would just a easy wipe down is my thinking.
My garage isn't 100% water tight though so still gets droplets or moisture marks on it.
Discovered by Scrooge, AF metal polish with fine grade wet and dry works wonders on ST/ST end cans, cut as well as wire wool but with far better finishing down, almost comparable to metal polish with a MF.
once cleaned up, I wiped down the end can and link pipe with eraser / IPA and coated with GTechniq C1/C4/C5 which ever I had, and topped with reload once cured to help with water spotting. Has been fine ever since, shiny scorpion oval now doesn't say 'not for road use' anymore
