Expensive williams

Saw that on here the other day.

Much rather have the one Mark Fish has been using/looking after, it's a bit over 5k & it's a stunner.

Did I read that right???

Someone sold it for £20,000 in the year 2000?

Jeeeesus. Get his name, i'll give him a job!

sure its worth a nice premium due to the mileage and condition, but 12k is silly.

I would happily pay 6k for such a car.

worth anything below 9k i think if it is as he says it is but very doubtful i say it need a clay at the least being open to element if it hadbeen kept in a bubble 12k maybe?

put it in to perspective here. If someone walked up to you and said "do you want to buy a 15yr old renault clio for £12000, you would think they were having a laugh!

the only one that would justify that price tag would be nr 001 or 002 (dont care what one frank williams wrote off - who gives a f**k) with little or no mileage on it.

Yep something like that. Lol! Thing was I guess that willy no 1 never went for that much when it was sold on by itself.

na i think it was sold to renault for around the £10k mark, i can't remember who told me that, i might be talking crap!

Definitely worth more than the average Williams but not at that price. No doubt somone will come along and buy it though!

From what I remember JT telling me, it was purchased from Williams in a job lot with ex F1 and other single seater stuff. Renault UK then approached that buyer and got it for 10k and the promise of some F1 'favours' in return. I guess the guy needed some help with all the other motors he purchased in the job lot.
