Exterior door handle doesn't open now!

Knew i shouldn't of done it, but i have and now i have a problem!!!!!!!!

I tried fitting my color coded door handles that i got done, and i started on the driver side.

took the door card off etc, then unclipped the handle rod from the bottom clip, as i couldn't figure out how to remove it from the top clip that is attached to the handle.

Unclipped the rod and removed the door handle, then fitted the new door handle, and put the rod back on the top clip, and then i went to the bottom.

Tried clipped it back, but i accidently snapped the clip which is at the bottom.

Its a white clip, and it was clipped to the bottom of the rod before, and i think it was attached to the door lock.

Now i can't open the door from the outside!!!!

Anybody knwo how i can fix this problem??

i done mine a few weeks ago mate, is it the clip that clips onto the rod that snapped?

buy a new clip from a breakers yard or renault?, strip the lock out, fit clip, refit lock and put the bar back in sensibly?

renault handle mechanism is a joke anyway, but ive seen a lot worse, like VW's

No, its not that clip, its the clip towards the bottom of the rod. not attached to the handle.

I think so, its white, and was clipped at the bottom of the rod.
