f7p turbo in birmingham

hello.
as you can probably tell i am new to this website, but not to the clio scene.
ive been active on other clio communities for some time now.
i have currently just finished building my f7p turbo mk1
its currently away for mapping at the minute but ballpark figures of 320 bhp are being thrown around at the moment.
im from solihull near birmingham.
if there is anybody around that area give me a shout. be good to get to know more people !

Welcome to CS, I'm just down in Northfield. Who have you got mapping it for you?

originally it was going to be ktec.
but decided at the last minute not to book with them (even though ive heard countless good things)
kj16v is maping it for me currently
he has mapped many mk1 clios (including a few turbo's)
hes a top bloke. couldnt recommend him enough
although mine is running standalone unlike alot of the turbo conversions done on mk1's where they just run an emulator in the standard ECU
when the car is completely finish be good to maybe come over and say hi !

What colour is your mk1? I hate a little blast against one a while back on the dual carridgeway by landrover on the way back from Solihull might have been you! Lol

its black.. im pretty sure it was me.. but i cant rev the thing over 3,500 rpm until fully mapped
so i doubt i was giving it a blast !
350 is possible with the setup im using
but i just cant justify that much
once mapped to 320 ish
ill more than happy have a proper blast
as for pictures.. some will be up soon.. i took it too oxford with some really shoddy clovers on.
didnt want to wear out my 888's just driving down motorways !
as soon as its back ill give it a good clean and get some up for you all !
although not much too look at (two fibreglass buckets with side restraints and a dished steering wheel inside)
i was more after the power

Well this was over 18months ago I had a Liquid yellow R27 when I came up against this mk1 was pretty even until I took 3rd then pulled ahead

ahh 18 months ago i sold my clios and had a gti6 205..
there was a few lads about here back then so could of been a number of people..
just me left now though !

no problem seems the biggest problems ive had so far is the idle.. it just wont sit right when trying to map it.. hunts like a good'un. turns out the 3.0 bar non genuine MAP sensor that was supplied with my standalone is complete toilet and has decided to give up on me so a marelli one has been ordered to take its place.
also, as im using the bosch 803's the impedance is rather low i did think i could get away with it (4.7 ohms. 2.5A per injector, 5A per bank of injetors) but turns out not (doh)
resistors need to be fitted, this is all in the pipeline and should be done very soon (finished by the end of the week)
