Fallout : New Vegas

^ LOL, I find it's a good way to balance things out. I sort of, a little bit, accidently killed the shopkeeper with a meat cleaver yesterday...he caught me stealing some scrap metal of all things and pulled a gun-he had to go down.
 
I think i'm gonig to start this again - or at least have two saves. I don't like how I have played it ATM as I've just killed most people

Yeah that's why I've gone down the good karma route first time around. I'd end up regretting killing somebody who has rewards to offer.

I've got a few save files going on.
 
Didn't realise the old scrapyard darling had a unique weapon, I used That Gun for the farmer quest in Novac and was disappointed with the lack of damage it caused, so i sold it back to him for 400 caps :dapprove:

Theres a few others floating around that are pretty sick, Mysterious Magnum and the All American. I tend to stick to ones that can be upgraded though :p

Anyone find the AI for the companions really annoying ? I set one of mine to Passive and Wait Here, as soon as a enemy popped up on my radar he just ran straight towards it, then kept running into a room with about 6 Fiends, had to chase him in or he was dead :/

Could someone tell me a location where I can find a Deathclaw, Still not seen one Lol, Wondering how it will take bullets from some of my higher level weapons :o
 
Yeah I had some other saves but I deleated because im a dick'ed. Looks like im stuck with what I have done so far, which isnt such a bad thing really.

There's a couple of Blind Deathclaws near the mountains if you try to go directly East from the NCR Correctional Facility to Novac, instead of using the road south and then back round. Staying still did f*ck all. Two swipes and I was dead.
 
Cheers, Shall venture there tonight, I'll be well annoyed if i end up getting my companions killed lol. Think ill leave them in Novac.

Guessing they have heavy armour ? AP Bullet job?

Anyone know the total number of possible Companions ? I've come across 5 so far.

Well, the blind deathclaws have armour so my Vermin rifle did f*ck all. PMSL. Being at level 2 and trying to take one on in a vault suit was not going to end well...
 
I've lost Boone somewhere lol. I think he's in vault 34. I think I will start it again - even more so now I have got the guide
 
Damn this thread. I keep having a sneak read through it, without trying to actually read anything! My copy of NV should arrive from Play this week - so I'm trying to avoid any obvious spoilers....

There's a load of Deathclaws at the quarry near Sloan, there's even a sign warning you they're around the quarry.

Needless to say I f**ked off out of that area pretty quick.
 
I might go out today to get this as Im off work.

Defo worth doing? I absolutely loved FO3, but I'm worried bugs and what-not will ruin this one for me.

Should I?

You have to bring the person that arranged his wifes kidnapping out in front of the T-rex thing at Novac

Spoiler Alert

It was the Old Women who runs the Motel, you find an encriminating letter in the locked safe behind her desk, just wait till night and pick it once she's gone, find her and tell her there's something you want to show her out in front of the T-Rex, once she's there put on the Beret Boone gave you and he'll blow her head off. Talk to him and one of the speech options means he'll accompany you :)

Word of warning. (SPOILER)make sure you buy the hotel room off the woman before you kill her (100 caps). Although you can get it off the shop guy afterwards, I killed him :(
 
Been wondering this myself, think I recall some mentioning something about a place on the Strip, for the moment I am using some Shack just east of Goodsprings, some Flight place or something, as its a fast travel point. There's a few lockers but lacks anywhere to rest up :(
 
i really badly need some speech/barter skills, im stuck on a few quests now because i cant convince people to do things
 
ha, i got boone to kill the guy who sells dinosaurs. I need more speech and stuff but I cant get the xp to level up without doing quests. whats a nightmare

Better yet: do enough good deeds for the town and she will give it to you for free :)
 
I found some T-51B Power Armour today, but can't use it because you need 'training' on it. Gah.
Also a few cool custom weapons, Ratcatcher and the good ol' Super Sledge! Smashy smashy.

That'll be a job for the BoS then. Don't go raiding in there wearing NCR stuff. Bad idea.
 
Did anyone help the gang at the start of the game in good springs? or are we all good boys and helped the guy in the petrol station (ringo? I forget)

i was good but curious as to if anyone did it
 
Lakelurks - yup run across them the other night, Boone chashed of after one into a lake for what looked like heavy petting and I ended up getting gang raped by 5 of them :(

Just went back to Novac to buy That Gun and ended up getting hotel room for free :) then spent 8 or 9 trips loading both me and Boone up to the max moving all the stuff I'd been hording

Just gone down to the Fort to get my hands on the Platnium Chip and now stuck doing a mission for the Legion unless I wanna lose all my gear, time to load up a previous save I think :S

Also anybody managed to get to the boomers? I died once trying made it the second time tho lol
 
Well I've lost Boone and Robo Dog (what ever his name is) they were there one min, fast travelled, then gone the next :( lol, hopefully they will just "re-appear" at some point.

I am also marked as an enemy by the Legion even though I still have outstanding quests for them, not sure whats going on there!!!!

I got into Boomers, not too difficult.

I'm talking to Yes Man at the moment then will sort House out.
 
Hows the update working for this? I'm off to my Cousins house to update the game tonight. had some sound problems after only 5 minutes!
