What actually causes this rust. Is it general age or is it water leaking in somewhere?

@Martin. shouldnt be an issue on ph2s, I think its something to do with the rear arch lips being different on a ph1.

It probably doesn't help when the jacking points get bent and ruined by bad usage and being made of flimsy metal. All of mine are bent and looking terrible

Well the car is being broken. Let me know if you want any bits. Looks like the gearbox is about to die so I'm selling up and moving on

Yes. But I have other people already wanting it. Would rather sell as a pair with the engine mount. Might take me some time to get them off the car as I'm really busy atm

Steve, have PM'd you as Im after an engine and upper gearbox mount, i assume these will fit a 182 too.

Just to update the thread...........the shell was picked up yesterday and went off to the scrap yard.
What a shame. Another PH1 bites the dust

That's a bit sad! I've only just read through this and I can't believe it finished this way.
