FAO Bullet Painters... Help!?

Car  A Flamin' Red one
Had a complete mare with mine. A friend has done a pretty (okay, very) poor job on mine and I've tried to rectify it but rain has stopped play and I've given up to be honest.

Who on here would people recomend other than MIDO as I've no doubt he's inundated :(

Help?!

Mish is doing mine atm. Seen some in progress pics and her communication has been brilliant. Havent seen the end result but so far i would recomend her (along with quite a few others on here)

Thanks pal. Prices and other details will be greatly appreciated. PM me if you would prefer :)

yeah im doing Amys at the moment, nightmare! I hate it!...Think you just need to spend a stupid amount of time on preparation. They are a b**ch to sand though due to the lettering! I'm gonna have another bash at hers, I dont fancy doing another set but if they turn out as good as the other bits I painted for her I'll let you know how i did it.

Sand????i pulled mine off, cleaned them, primered them, painted them and when the paint is half set but set enuff to manipulate you can lightly scratch off the lettering and this will leave your lettering standing out much more, when finished just laquer over.job done.

one question..is it difficult to take them off the car?

No. Fingernail job. Never use tools.

You will see that the come away from the car narrow end first then with a bit more pull they unclip. Try to keep the removal straight as you dont want to break the clips.

thanks for the advice pal. I got them off base on what you said.

How did you strip it back? I cant seem to sand off the complicated bits, and dont want to use nitromors in fear of it melting the plastic!

I did mine 2day. Just gave them loads of plastic filler primer and made sure the paint went off properly before i sanded them. Then i sprayed on the coulour i wanted the lettering, let that go off then masked the lettering up and sprayed the whole bullet what ever coulour you want it. Couple coats of laquer job done. Main thing is letting the paint go off properly. Was hard because im seriously impatiant.

Jack, I stripped it back using this tool I found of my Dad's in the cellar. it worked in much the same way as a cheese grater! I then just used white sprit and some soft wire wool, couplked with a scalpol for the in between bits.
