Thinking about it does that black fuzzy thing at the back of the engine do anything? Fire retardant or is it just sound insulation. It looks naff, could ya rip it off?

Whats the bit on the top left of the engine that the aircon pipes connected too? (above the brake fluid res) is there more aircon crap bahind the dash?

Rich i can rip off that black heat shield thing if you want and install the same stuff i have at the back of my engine (see the silver thing at the back of the engine bay?)

the silver sheet stuff is £30 odd IIRC
