If they are anything like the grey topped ones on ebay i used to buy then you'll be replacing them every 2-3 months.

  182 Racing Blue, Recaros
Debs used the GSF ones and had no problems so far! She keeps a spare one in the car also!

  LY V6 with Recaros
Yeah GSF were the cheapest ones I could find, but they seem to be fine. Cheap enough to buy a couple spare too :)

cheers Deb, thats cleared that up for me:).......yeah gonna replace them all and buy a couple of spare items as you say;)

^ you're wrong.

There £16.73 from Pug. I'll dig out the part number. Touchwood in over 15k miles i've not had one go!

You could always get the Trophy coils which ive heard are a fit and forget job. Only problem is they require a slight change in wiring. Expensive initially, but maybe cheaper and alot less of a pain in the ass over the long run.

  V6 255, 172's, JCW,
I believe that "Sagem" coils are the OE to the V6, but it seems that these are the ones that occassionally fail.
Peugeot ones tend to be supplied by "Valeo" which seem to be of a better quality and 'appear' to fail less frequantly.
As Oldskoolbaby said above.. if you want no further issues.. take the Trophy coil route.

Personally, I'm sure all of mine are Sagem.. I've had 2 fail on me in 2 years. Next time one goes, I think I shall replace them all for Valeo coils. Which I'm sure are nearer the £23 mark each, comparred to £40 odd from Renault for Sagem.

I only paid for 1 from Reno when I was young and naive!!

I've since replaced the other 5 with Citroen / Peugeot coild which are actually Delphi coils! I seem to remember them being around the £20.00 mark.

Norm I'm suprised you've only just realised this!

  V6 255, 172's, JCW,
Seems Peugeot / Citroen supply BOTH Valeo and Delphi then.. ;)

I'll still be replacing mine with Valeo.. from knowledgable recomendation :)
