Can anybody here tell my the diffrent between Phase l and Phase ll Clio? Mine is clio1.8v16- 1993

Phase 2 Clios got a minor overhaul, which was effective on UK models from March 1994.

The main distingushing features externally combined to "soften" the original look. This meant fatter side strips (with engine badges moved to an insert in them), a new grille bar below the bonnet, black bumper strips, a reflective bar across the bottom of the boot, new wing mirrors and a slimmer rear wiper arm.

Internally, a new set of trim upholstery options came in and some minor details like speaker covers were changed.

There were no major mechanical changes at this stage, though the 1.8 8v 95bhp RT was dropped from the range.

The easiest identifier is the wing mirrors. If they are rounded on the top and bottom that is Phase 2 or 3. Phase 1 mirrors, were rounded on the top and flat at the bottom.
