Faulty Oil sensor?

Car  2013 Renault Clio
I have a 2013 Clio 0.9 Tce and get an intermittent "Top Up Oil Level" warning, even after checking and topping up oil. The level is 2mm under the full mark so should be OK.
Is it some other oil that can be low or a faulty sensor?

It's always parked on flat ground and the warning comes on sometimes and will stay on until i turn the car off. Next time I drive (even if 5min later) the warning doesn't come on.

Yes, you've probably got a dodgy sensor or more likely a loose or corroded wire going to it. You'll find it low down on the front of the engine at an angle down in to the sump. Beside the dipstick.
