Figure this out

  Skoda Fabia vRS

i went to Renault the other day to get some coolant, while i was there i asked about the price of a genuine dizzi cap and rotor arm, £65 i was told !

a couple of days later i ended up needing the actual distributor itself, i ordered this on Saturday with them, and that only cost me £61, AND it came with the dizzi cap and rotor arm aswell

work that one out !!

HOW MUCH!

I paid half that from GSF. Renault also started banging on about 7+ variants each for 3 different caps (ie 21+ in total)

yea i know, it is however very very good quality, with proper brass bits on it, when i need another one im gonna have to search around to find someone who does one of a similar quality

the K-Tec, BB, Euro Car Parts, and Intermotor items all have your normal silver coloured bits

  Skoda Fabia vRS

was it ?

where did you buy it from, i bought one from Euro Car Parts, made by Beru, that had silver bits, i bought another one from work which was silver bits, made by Intermotor

and on both BB and K-Tecs websites, if you look at the pictures they are silver aswell, not brass

Its liek the mk1 ph2 grill something like £60 for the primered one....£40 for the normal orange peel type one......go to Seat and get an entire 4" deep splitter for £20......how f**ked up is that?

even the fella in the parts dept said to me, your better off buyin the distributor, its cheaper lol

he said in all the time he has been there, he has never sold a dizzi cap and rotor arm set, and at those prices is it any wonder

i usually try and use genuine parts where i can, i know they are gonna fit perfect and perform well, always use genuine oil filters etc, but £65 for a dizzi cap and rotor arm is robbery, especially when the distributor itself is cheaper and comes with it !

  MERCEDES CLS AMG

Yes - typical Renault. They do a bumper kit for the renault scenic which works out at about £125. If you need to buy the moulds that fit onto the bumper they are £50 each - if you order the kit at £125 they come with the bumper kit - its crazy

ill keep that in mind mate that the GSF one is the one to go for, any idea what make it was ?

the one on this is a Ducellier, the same as the actual dizzi

Ducellier are pretty good OEM quality IIRC got one for my 205 gti from Euro car parts, I think youll usually get the rotor arm when you buy a distributor cap?
