Well, these were supposed to be pics of a freshly cleaned and PC'd 197, but with the weather...... I did start Boxing day, by removing the Black Wheels. Already given them a good clean/wax inside out. The next step was to do arches etc, then finish off with a SRP by PC, then EGP by hand. Meh, too cold :( Instead it had a service from Kev (steve) at Birchdown :approve:. Wheels are in the shed, just waiting till it warms up a wee bit......

Black rims to be refitted, and i'm gonna source a Cup spoiler methinks. With it being low, a bit slaggy, i think it can pull the look of... (hopefully)

luvly car though, get that spoiler fitted!

^^ anthracite 2118s FTW on 1*2s end of :p

As for 197 dark FTW - Xeros Grey to be precise :D

looks eh....filthy Gaz :D

black wheels look so so good! Only irritating thing about my wheels is the paint is too thin - so its getting stone chipped - and the durability of the rear of the wheel is crap (its being marked by EZ wheel brush and paint coming off) :(

i would considering going silver just to have an original set!

Awesome Kev, black is by far a nicer colour against Albi than spacky silver ;)

Ha! I have the best of both worlds lol. ;) My Black set were powdercoated in the summer. As said, i gave them a good clean, by polishing and sealing in my nice warm shed . Given them a good inspection and they are holding up really well, no damage as of yet, been on since Sept :approve:

so your black ones are powder coated and not painted? is the finish good? and is it no problem getting them "shiney"?

I'll get some decent pics up when i PC it in the next month or so. I'm going to refit them then :)

black is 100% better...love it.

Off topic, but how is SRP with a DA polisher, easy to do? Seen you say a few times on here youve PC'd it so im guessing you use SRP as it doesnt remove too much?

Your taste is all backwards, lol.

Silver looks mint on mondial, Albi is loads darker though.....

I changed back to Silver on the Cup, looked 100% better. On the 197 the Black is best...
He is a jock, so be expected tbh, they even wear skirts up in them hills ;)

I gave it a good correction session last summer with some of the Menzerna range, Intensive Polish, and Final Finish..... SRP goes on well with PC, and i really rate it. It leaves a good basefor EGP, which i like (lots of people dont, but Rich rates it too) Was just going to give it a spruce up untill a correction in Easter.
