First clio 172-ph2 Already in love.

Evening all,

Just joined and not long bought my car so you'll have to excuse this post for having no pic's as of yet.
The previous owner had clearly put some time and money in to some nice subtle mods (cammed, matched inlets, k-tec induction, cat back stealth system)

It was sat low down on coil overs with the old owner though it's now back on standard shocks and lowering springs. (will be ditching that in future for some tidy shocks and springs.)
As expected it's got all the rattles that most clio's have and the interior light/fan buzz is damn annoying!!! But it's a small price to pay for the fun. Just wish the gear throws were a bit shorter.

Mileage clocks just tipped 50,000 miles but it's reading in smiles per hour more than miles per hour.
If any ones local to south wales and fancy's a blast sometime, give us a shout.

Thanks mate I can't wait to get the Trophy back in the next few weeks... but will be sad to say goodbye to the V6. I do think I'm going to probably look to buy a V6 at some point though. I'm hooked!

There have been a few meets over the year but not so many at this time. The weather and short days make it miserable! They will pick up again in the New Year as the better weather returns. You'll have to come along to some of the meets that are organised through the year. There's a group of us who often meet up for a drive and a bite to eat all through the year though so there's usually something happening.

Sounds similar to the bike scene in wales, wet weather stops play all the friggin time!
I'm looking forward to meeting a few fellow ph2 clio owners, mainly to see what mods work best, spy on people set ups, pick up a few tips for maintenance and have a few good blast's.

I've seen a few clio's flyng around newport/cwmbran area, how many of them are members on here though i have no idea but im the same as you Sharky, 3 weeks in to owning mine and I've loved every second so far.

Glad you're enjoying it, mate. They have a habit of getting under the skin; a lot of car and fun for the money. You'll notice a lot of folks on here who've had 1*2's, sold them, regretted it, and then bought another...

Drop me a PM sometime and you're welcome to take a look over the Trophy. I imagine you aren't too far away seeing as you are around the Newport / Cwmbran area. I see loads of RS Clios around but not many of them wave or flash back!

It's a good job i haven't uploaded any of my bike video's then really.....but as it's dark what you cant see is the needle rising to 50mph and staying there
