He means before you start wiring anything, disconnect the negative (black) terminal from the battery. Then disconnect the red one and connect your power lead to the assembly before reconnecting it. Only put the negative back once you've finished the rest of your wiring.

make shure you have the radio code before disconecting the battery..

and dont forget the remote wird to the amp from the radio

i dont have a radio i got a LG cd player so i wont need to bother with this whole radio code malarky right just the simple 3 wires need done huh?

sub came all is well BUT the wires i got dont have the ends fitted and i dont have a clue wot end goes on wot wire.....any help or pics.

Use ur common sense mate, fitting a sub an amp is simple, the big connecters go on the fat wires and the small ones on the small wires, it aint rocket science to be honest.

just bec its easy for you dont meen it is for others
but as said the biggest one will go on ya power lead and this will let you join in on to batte
the smaller one will be for the remote wire(blue one)
then the other for the ground lead (black)
