Fitting brake pads?

  Liquid Yellow 182 FF
Quick question,

My front break pads on my 1.2 16v Clio have almost gone, and I don't fancy paying a garage near on £100 to do it as I know the parts arn't very expensive. How easy are they do fit yourself? I don't have the most amazing technical knowledge but is it possible? Any guides or links?

Thanks
Mark

It's easy, take the wheel off and look at the pads/caliper, if it's not obvious what you need to do, go to a garage.

Or buy a haynes manual.

Well, it is French..... the first was reasonably appropriate.

Easy job to do yourself. Find a friend who is mechanically competent to help you first time round tho as you don't sound too confident. Just remember, if you've driven anywhere, the discs and pads will be WARRRRRM.

Use a torque wrench on wheel bolts (when putting it back together ;) ).

Also don't use the Renault jack. You're safer drinking brake fluid TBH.

Don't drink brake fluid.

Thank you, It doesn't sound to hard, but I will get a friend to give me hand. Common sense then. Im going to have a little look anyways tomorrow when I take my wheels of to sort my camber.
