Fitting bucket seats

Hi all, currently fitting my cobra misanos, and have got to the airbag/pretensioner stage. Now according to my haynes manual and this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=238176 (see mossy's posts) there should be a black 'junction' box as well as a grey one.

Now I've got the grey one, which is where the resistors are to be installed (from what I can see)

But there is no black connection to be seen. I have a wire running from the same loom as the grey one, but it runs straight to my seat with no connections, therefore I cannot fully disconnect my seat from the car?

I dont want to go cutting wires, but there is no terminal to be seen?

Any help appreciated!

Cheers

here's whats under my seat;

The grey connection pictured was attatched to the black 'box' which was bolted to the side of the car next to the seat. The black bit says airbag on it and the grey connection has two metal terminals where I assume my resistors go. (pictured below)

But thats all the connections I have, the following picture is under my seat. The loom with all the different colour wires comes from the same place as the grey terminal above and then goes under my seat where it splits into 2 sections, one going to one side of the side and another going to the other side. As far as I can see, there is no connection anywhere along this loom.

It's this loom thats keeping my seat connected to the car. Can I just cut through these wires and solder them back on when it comes to refitting my standard seats?

Any help greatly appreciated!

  My trusty lil 182 :)
The other connector should be under the seat the same as the grey one and should be very obvious. iirc though the airbag light came on in some cars due to a faulty connector and the fix was to cut it out and fix the wires together. i would of thought it would be absolutely fine to cut the wires and solder them back together when reinstalling the original seats but can understand being nervous about doing so.

Ended up cutting the wires and tagging them for later. Even with the seat out the car I still can't find the connection so I doubt I have one.

Managed to get the service light AND the airbag light on thought so will see what renault have to say about that

Dude.

Your not supposed to remove that black box. It doesnt need to be touched.

You should have a black connector clipped to the under side of the seat and then a grey/yellow one should be attached to the seat belt clip. This needs to be unclipped and fed through the seat to remove it and then it can be reconnected again.

Ahh ok, will put that box back in then.

I had no connectors whatsoever under the seats bud, none at all. Even after removing the seats from the car I couldnt find any.
