Right...
Have I opened up a can of worms??
Basically bought a some uprated suspension off a 182 Cup (was a bargain!!)
Already knew the knuckle bolt spacing was different,
so the seller included the 182 Cup knuckles as part of the deal..
Now my question is this;
If I simply bolt the knuckle assembly on,
retaining all my stock 172 (non-Cup) lower arms, track rods etc
Will my 172 (non-Cup) driveshafts work?
Or will they be to short?
From what I can work out, the 182 Cup knuckle assembly runs a bigger bearing,
and a slightly different ackerman angle;
but the actually total track should remain the same.
In which case the stock shafts should be fine.
Already stripped the knuckles down and sent them off to be powder coated..
and new 182 Cup bearings and 172 ABS sensors are on order...
So I hope I can make this work!!! :race:
