Fitting discs/pads, braided lines & new fluid - which order?

  Clio Sport xxx
Lookin to fit/do the above this weekend and just wondered if there is a recommended order in which to do all the work, or does it not really matter? I was thinking i'd fit the discs/pads first followed by fitting the new braided lines, then changing the fluid would be the obvious thing to do last.

Also, i've seen there is alot of info/guides on how to bleed brakes, but not much at all on how to completely change the fluid, can anyone point me in the direction of some? Or the main question is have is how much fluid do I need and how do you tell when all the old stuff is out the system?

Cheers!

Do discs and pads then lines and finally the fluid. Need a litre of fluid and it'll be a different colour when new stuff is bled through. Start furthest from master cyclinder which is right rear as brake lines run along left hand side of car then across to right rear..

easiest to do in the order you've thought

need about 1L fluid, but best buy at least 2, just incase. if you use an easibleed, that'll help minimise fluid loss. also, if you use a coloured fluid (like ATE Super Blue), it's much easier to tell once you're getting good, clean new fluid through

buy a syringe from a chemists (or a turkey baster/etc) to draw fluid off from the reservoir before you push the pistons back in for the pads, but don't let the res ever empty itself (and especially not if yours is ABS). nothing you particularly need do when changing the fluid that's different to bleeding it - just don't let the res empty itself. much easier with an easibleed, as they've a remote res that keeps the car's res topped up

ed. order is NSR/OSF/OSR/NSF. shouldn't matter all that much

Take special notice of the advice about not letting the reservoir run dry. The second time I changed my fluid, I started getting a bit cocky, and lost concentration. Took me f**king hours, and LOTS of brake fluid to get the air out.
