fitting head unit

Has anyone had any bother in fitting a new headunit to the clio a 2000 plate bug eyed one.The new headunit is shorter than the old one but it is a pig to put back in had a job putting the cage in aswell it seems to have a panel top and bottom.What doesnt help is the remote adapter wiring but it should all go in any ideas

Did you put the spacer bolt in the back?

bolt thing that screws into the HU

What HU is it

Its a Dayton cd 4802 and yes i did put the bolt on

Got it in with the bolt on the adapter was in the way not enough cable really but hopefully will not need to take it out again till i sell it going to get a pioneer mp3 unit only problem is that it doesnt have a steering remote so it will be redundant still it has bigger buttons on it lol
