Audi S3 & 172 Cup
After doing nothing else to my braking system except fitting new rear calipers, I have found that I have a tad more travel in my brake pedal hence giving me the impression that my brakes don't feel as strong as before (the reason for changing the rear calipers was due to the old ones constantly sticking).
I'm wondering if I set the piston on the new caliper properly. I think there was something in the instructions about winding out the piston by following a special method before fitting but didn't really understand it and I just wound it out a bit. I figured that as soon as the piston takes up the slack after the first couple pumps of the pedal, it sets itself anyway so why would there be a special method.
Handbrake is fine.
Is anyone aware of a sepcial process for setting the piston gap when fitting new rear calipers?
