Fixing an A-pillar...all opinions welcomed

Evening all,

Just fitted some alcantara interior trim. Dash strips and handbrake cover took 2mins, A-pillars took a darn sight longer and were a PITA to take off the old ones and get the new ones on.

Anyway, passenger one sits really nicely, but drivers side A-pillar was missing the clip on the back. I have tucked the rubber seal in all the way along and it will stay in place. BUT... because the clip is missing it doesn't sit flush at the top and looks untidy.

Just wondering what my options are to get it to sit flush?

1. Subtle screw into the headlining? Is this possible or headlining not strong enough?

2. Glue of some sort? (will probs look aids)

3. Something else suggested by you lot, I am relying on some CS knowledge here!!

All suggestions welcomed :) Thanks

Cable ties - don't think there would be enough room and would probably have to put a hole in them which I'd like to avoid.
Velcro is a great shout, have some laying around as well!! Cheers mate

MT Audio. Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately the clips are immovable (plastic welded) to the the rear of the pillars.

yeh i know, remove them and refit them

Haha not hugely confident in my ability with a junior hacksaw and soldering iron that I wouldn't make a complete bodge job of it. Plus I'll probably refit standard bits when I come to sell so would prefer to keep them in one piece. That said it's not a bad shout if I have no luck with other options :)

Were did you get the pillars from mate?

Got them off Chris205 who was breaking his trophy on here last week. Other than the minor fixing issue I'm really pleased with them. I'll attempt a velcro fix tomorrow in the light and then get some pics up

They are mine, as in i trim the parts in material, i did them for him and put them in his trophy, the clips wernt broke otiginaly so he maybe broke one taking them out, tbh the clip keeps it firmly in place, cant think of what you could use yo keep it in the place it should be

Ah!! I knew I had seen someone selling them on here :) I guessed it must have broke in the removal, they were a right pain until I realised how the clip released. Fingers crossed, the velcro will sort it. If not, then I may be in touch regarding a single pillar trimming lol
