Flaps under 182 bumper

Car  Liquid yellow 182
What are the two grey holes, with flaps for under the bumper, into the boot.

Is this for air flow out of the car, or sound in???

Air flow, think how long a fart would linger if there was nowhere for it to get out.

Like Turkish said, lol. When you shut the boot, air escapes through the vents.

Another time it comes in handy is when airbags are deployed. Rapid inflation of those bad boys and cabin pressure has to vent somehow.

ive seen an idiot that sealed those up on a 206, had a crash and perforated his ear drums.

All French cars have them.
They are special doors so that gremlins can get in when your car is 3 years old and make everything rattle and break.
