Flash (ah aaaahhh!)

So I'm sat infront of the MBP this morning (for a change) and I noticed the battery life remaining was c.4 hours. It's fully charged FFS. I'm like, WTF? Nothing really running app wise except Safari. Minimise the main window and notice there's another window under it, running a shitty little flash video (no, not p**n). Close this window and a minute later the remaining life has shot up to 7:20.

Is this normal behaviour of any kind of video playing, or is Flash really just as s**t as Steve says it is?

Maybe it's just that Safari is s**t?

It's normal for video if it's got sound/pictures though

Safari is still running. Fair enough though if all video would do that. It just seems a bit extreme. There wasn't even any audio. It was like a cartoon style ad. Rinse the battery life by nearly 50%?

We have had to block access to one of the news sites for our staff working on thin clients. The Citrix servers cannot handle the load caused by some of the flash elements on the pages, so yes, flash really can put a load on the system.
