Flat Battery now really high revs

  Clio Mk2 Ph1
my battery on my mk2 ph1 went flat and was left flat for about 2weeks, i know this may have probably nackered the battery but i went to jump start the car to try and see if there was any life in the car and after about 10mins it finally started but it was idling at 4000rpm. i thought this might have been just because the battery was low but even if it was charging the battery it should not be idiling nowhere near 4000rpm surely? :S

the ecu will have battery compensation, I don't know the stock strategy on a std ecu but they often rev up when the battery is very low
