Yeah project thread will be up tomorrow, and coilovers will be on hopefully by next week. Just need rid of those hideous standard wheels and put it on a diet!

I found the short shift a bit notchy and didn't seem like an improvement.

I've got a modified gear linkage which halves the throw coming tomorrow or Friday so I'm hoping you and Chris can help me fit it on Saturday.

We can have a go at repairing your ghetto splitter with some fibre glass resin.

Yeah that sounds good mate.

New Compbrake discs and bolts arrived yesterday.

What pads were you using with the four pots?

Not sure if they do them in your fitment, but the pagid blacks get two thumbs up from me. Virtually no dust either.

Such a simple job and we fall at the first hurdle :dapprove:

The size we need is 3/16 because hex bolts appear to be imperial.

Personally I'd ask Compbrake to exchange your new bolts for metric ones or supply you with the correct hex socket for the job.

Rentech are going to fit the brakes now tomorrow :eek: Hopefully have it all sorted for Castle Combe this Sat.

Just shows that these cars when being serviced and looked after can be reliable. I remeber my old dear saying to me you best get rid of your clio now its getting towards 50k lol!

haha. The engines box clutch all seem pretty tough, shame about French electrics etc..;)

looking good mate, the splitter is 100 times better now :)

Picked the car up from Rentech a couple of hours ago. Loving the Ferodo DS3000 pads, epic stopping power TBH :clap:

Looking forward to Castle Combe this sat now.

Brakes are VERY VERY good on this car :)

Yes Mike. Once warm they are bloody powerful.
