Began my mates Focus RS today, clayed it earlier in the week so the paintwork was all ready to go, so a quick wash to begin with.

A few before shots showing the extent of the swirling/RDS:

Now, I had the following bits:

Intensive polish
Power Gloss
Megs diamond cut
Final finish

And pads:

Lake Country cutting pad
Few sonus ones
Menz cutting pad

Started on IP and an SFX2, didnt touch it, then slowly moved up in combo's until I realised the only way to go was diamond cut and the menz cutting pad.
Only managed to do the drivers side, and boot and rear bumper in around 4.5 hours, but was a good start!
Camera and me were not good enough for 50/50 shots, so just some finished shots after EGP, SRP and some Paste Wax which smells niiiiiiiiiice :D

Had the wheels off too for a quick rinse behind, but they are being refurbed anyways so didnt spend much time on them

Next weeks work:

So should be pretty mint afterwards, plan to get it all to the same stage now which is around 60-70% correction, then spend more time honing my skills and getting it proper mint.

Oh, and the results of the abuse on the menz pad, oops!!

Very good results there mate!

Has someone cleaned that with a scouring pad in the past or somethin! :dead:

My mate had a very nice 330Bhp Focus RS.

May even consider one as my next car looking at those corrected pics!

LOL... That Lake country yellow pad is the one I brought when Luke attacked my car, was the toughest one available from CYC!

That pad looks like my LC one after accidentally hitting it on the 2.0l badges of a car I did a couple of weeks ago :S Not good!

Looking forward to seeing the results! I have to admit that I love cars that are totally fooked, as the paint is just totally different!

Good luck!

Jamie
