Any clue at all to what's it with it Dan.

No idea mate.

He took it to his mechanic who said ''Its fcuked. Without taking the engine out and stripping it down, I can't pinpoint what's up with it''

The engine bay is covered in oil, and when we did manage to get it running, It was breathing proper heavy. SO heavy that no exhaust gasses were coming out of the exhaust!!

Somebody went to see it, a guy that breaks nearly new fords, and offered him £1500 and he refused....

I think he may live to regret that.

I'd have thought 1500 was a pretty fair offer when it needs an engine seeing as they are relatively dear to get an engine for that new and obvioulsy not a 5 minute job to change either.

I think it is too. I'd have taken the money and got the s**t gone.

I think my mate panicked though and just assumed the bloke was trying to rip him off.

The crap Peugeot oil feed pipe to the turbo possibly? My friend had one with the same problem. Google it as its quite common. Could be wrong though

May sound daft but the cat could be blocked.

Weve seen it before, granted not to the extreme where it wont start though.

Trust me mate, this was no blocked cat! lol.

So did he end the bid early? It ended for less than the breaker offered!

The breaker no-show'd. I told my mate he was mental and should have taken £1500. He rang the breaker, he said he'd be round with the cash.... Never turned up. Same old ebay tbh.

It sold for £1151 iirc.

He seems happy, he just wants the space on his driveway back.

Will be a cheap car if the person who bought it know what they are doing with it, potential money pit if they don't though of course.

Unless you were a good mechanic/breaker, this car is financial suicide imo.

But if you have the know how to repair or whack another engine in it, it would be a great (cheap!) car for you.
