Fog trumpets

I did this a few weeks back after I noticed one of my fogs was smashed. As I couldn’t find any for sale on ‘parts for sale’ forum or e-bay I decided I’d get some trumpets to go in there instead. Got these off ebay, covered them in vinyl, then noticed they wouldn’t quite fit in... Fail.
Anyhow, filed them down a bit and they now fit in perfectly. I quite like the look, but not sure if I prefer fog lights to be honest. The pic of them on the car isn’t too clear, but I’m grateful of opinions.

Cheers.

Cheers guys. I'll leave them in for a while i think, then may put the fogs in if i find a cheapy second one.

I think these looks pretty ace mate. Out of interest where did you get them or would you make another set?

I got the trumpets off ebay a while back, and the inner mesh from i think was from Larkspeed. It was a bit of a pain getting the mesh in but the scratches are covered by the 3M vinyl :approve:. Don't fancy making another set tho, too fiddly to do more than once a year!

Like this a lot... wondering if I should ditch mine. They barely get used and it really toughens up the front end of black 1*2s!!

Just looks like you've removed the fogs.

Lol, in some lights i agree, which is why i'm unsure. They're quite a bit darker/shinier than the plastic surround however, so in other lights they look great.

Sorry, no closer up pics. Will try get some tomorrow.

I can't see them anywhere on ebay now but i think they were Revotech ones which can be had here for cheap...

The mesh that goes in them is available there also. Ducting can also be attached to the back for CAF or brake ducting.

There are lots of alloy trumpets on ebay though if you just search for cold air feed, and most you prob won't have to file down like i did with these. Any 76 mm ones should do the trick. 3M carbon vinly costs a tenner from ebay.
