Forza 3

I think this is the latest:

Hi everyone,

Recently, we’ve seen a lot of speculation about the status of the second Jalopnik add-on pack and I wanted to clarify some things.

On the most recent episode of the Forza Pitpass Podcast, we mentioned that our car production schedule had changed in order to accommodate the upcoming release of the Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection. Essentially, we moved ten cars (including the three cars that make up the Stig’s Garage Pack) up in order to include exclusive content in the Ultimate Collection. As a result, the Jalopnik pack was pushed back in our production schedule.

Currently our intention is to make the second Jalopnik pack the next available add-on pack. Though we are targeting December, we haven’t announced a specific release date for a number of reasons, the most important of which is that the content has yet to be submitted or passed through certification. Essentially, we don’t want to promise a release date if we’re not 100 percent certain we can meet that goal.

While I understand the frustration that the Jalopnik delays have caused, I’m glad to say that it will be available in the near future. Stay tuned for more soon and thanks for reading.

Nope, I'd bet they will release it sooner or later (I bought the limited edition on the promise the additional cars were limited content) and sure enough T10 release it as a pack several months later. I suspect that the extra cars on the new copy of the game out in the shops will end up appearing on XBL for download at some point.

Same here, looks like they're already onto it again...

Forza Ultimate - Sample. This sample contains one car from the Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection: the 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder. In-game credits required to purchase this car in Season Play. The Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection contains cars from all Forza Motorsport 3 DLC packs, and seven exclusive cars only available in the Ultimate Edition, including: the 1971 Chrysler Plymouth Cuda 426 Hemi, 1956 Jaguar D-Type and 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale. The Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection is available for purchase at your local retailer.

I imagine that'll be a full car pack soon enough

Only 10 of the 15 will probably be in it though.

Also in other news.

You can get Forza 3 for free if you subscribe to Top Gear Magazine.

if you click this link and enter the promo code "TGP1310" you can not only get the game for "free" you also get a years subs to top gear magazine for £25 and change

I'd wager the 5 missing cars will probably be a couple of the best and we'll be stuck with s**t like the El Camino and Delorean in place of the 190E and the RS500.

Hope not, but your probably right.

I prefer if they keep the 2002, Merc, two Cossies, Lancia and the Volvo. Not arsed about the rest.

Some car pack cars appeared... f**king expensive though...

I'll be on later tonight if you lot fancy a couple of races? Still not really played it online

Couldn't give a f**k about the escort tbh, pissed about the starion, the 037 is in the ultimate edition IIRC so not exactly cut just used elsewhere.

Saving? I've got about 10 mill sat about despite being a dick and doing the collector achievement after having bought all the packs including the exotics one, doh!

You're telling me, I was off work today (coincidence not planned to correspond with the pack) pissed off that it didn't appear as I would have been hammering the RS500 and 190E hours ago had it been online to download.

From Forza forums...
Turn 10 are experiencing a serious issue with the latest car pack, meant to go live today, 14th December 2010 at 400MS Points
The 'Community Classic Car pack' chosen via voting at the Jalopnik website included some great classic cars to be added to the Forza Motorsport 3 game, one of these cars was the Delorean DMC-12, famous for it's role in the 'Back To The Future' movie series.
Last minute testing of the car pack by one of the Turn 10 team hotlappers found that the DMC-12's flux capacitor could be activied in-game, and was therefore posting times on leaderboards in minus figures, as one of the staff from Turn 10 hit Motegi GP today, and crossed the line in 1972.
More on this as it unfolds...

They're saying they're working on it now and hope to have it up soon. Pity my Sky broadband is steam powered and now every prick local to me will be jamming up the line and slowing it to a crawl, I suspect it will take 2 hours to download even if it gets put on the market place in the next couple of minutes.
