really!? i think its ten times easier than forza 2 tbh. grip on all cars is immense and blipping the throttle through the corners doesnt seem to see the back step around hardly at all.
there average
im pretty dissapointed tbh, che and turn ten have blatantly lied to everyone. Saying the cars have 10x poly detail and 10x texture detail etc..... yeah on the menu cars and initial roll up meybe...then as soon as the game starts switches to a much much lower lod model similar to f2. For example, tyres, wheels, brake calipers, lights (especially mini's 50p shaped headlights), windows..... interiors all but dissapear from view with magic tinted windows", c**kpit view looks....well pretty terrible, look around in the mini for example! basically everything looks rough as compared to the models shown in all the promo videos, even replays running at 30 fps look no better. Now im aware this is a demo and possibly an old build and i hope this is the case else ill feel a little shortchanged after all the hype. I still love the game and will obviously be buying it mind you....

All facts though.... i wasnt moaning, just sharing my thoughts. The game is not what was promised by the hype.
Yes ill buy it, i said it was fun! Just not what i was expecting.
Sorry but I couldn't disagree with you more. Maybe you should try chucking in FM2 and doing a quick comparison, there's been a monsterous improvement over previous game. Everything looks spot on IMO, obviously there's a little more aliasing than in the photos but other than that the graphics are spot on. As far as I'm aware the full version will be identical to the demo, Turn 10 wouldn't risk releasing an older build this close to release date.
They're not facts but fair enough, everyone is entitled to an opinion and mine is that they've delivered exactly what they promised, I'm pretty sure most of the other people that have played the demo and posted in this thread will agree to.

they ARE facts... the cars simply do not look like the images etc released by turn 10 thus far.....
I'm a bit disappointed with drift mode on the demo, purely as the ferrari sucks at drifting.
yep, I think a few people are missing the fact that all the cars are std, once you've got a 800/900bhp California it will be easy to drive sideways around every corner. If you take nothing from Forza 3 other than the extra content, (vast amount of cars, levels, tracks etc) then its still a leap forward from Forza 2.
I'm not missing the fact it's Standard, I'm just disappointed that a 400ish BHP RWD "Sports Car" sucks at going sideways lol. I'll be happier once I can build a proper drifter when it's released.
I am with Chris on this! It is an improvment in my view. Maybe all the geeks have got so excited they were expecting photo realism I dont know?
There is a clear improvment. What gets me is EVERYTIME a driving game is released it is obvious photo mode cars will NOT look like the models when racing yet people still expect them to? Are people really that retarded. Just play the bloody thing LOL
are you using the hand brake to start the drift?
Both handbrake and chucking it in sideways.
The physics are great as far as I can make out and the tracks and scenery are stunning! Nigel, Forza 2 was never renowned for its graphical prowess and lots of racers have improved on it a fair chun, Dirt 2 and nfs: shift
I can't understand how people are struggling to break traction tbh...I read on neogaf someone saying how bad it was where the porka (on slicks) had pretty much limitless grip....3rd gear will slide the back end out quicker than a V6 on remoulds..even the mini needs feathering of the throttle to stop wheelspining or understeering on bends
Chris
I'm not struggling to break traction (only have ABS turned on), just struggling to nail a decent chain drift. First time in the mini I loaded it up in the fast corners and it swapped ends before I had time to catch it lol.
