A blunt three-piece front spoiler and a fresh “lavish for the era’ two-tone graphics package for 1979 became the signature look of late second-gen Camaros, whose production run spanned from 1970 to 1981.
The artful exercise paid off as the Camaro enjoyed a banner year in 1979 tallying a record 282,582 in sales, 84,877 of which were the tasty Z28 high performance model.
To get your head in the right place consider “Kramer vs. Kramer” beat out “Apocalypse Now,” “Breaking Away,” “Norma Rae” and “All that Jazz” for the best picture Oscar and the Doobie Brothers “What A Fool Believes,” Billy Joel’s “52nd Street” and Bob Dylan and Donna Summer took home hardware at the Grammys. This was a tough time on the automotive front, however, with gas prices soaring while specific output was falling. As a result the ’79 Z28’s LM-1 was rated at a paltry 175 horsepower but a promising 270 lbs-ft of torque. No doubt this old schooler will react quickly to garage tuning and should make a real tire-burner when driven with skill.

Shopto have the Super Elite bundled with Forza 3 for £239 delivered. That's the package I've ordered.

Shopto apparently have put in place a procedure to resolve this for anyone who's got a pre order with them. You can amend your shipping option to UK mail for £1.99 so it would come same terms as Royal mail or there's a courier options (IIRC about £6.00) for next day which would come a day early.

The best thing is that Buick is actually pretty good...surprises quite a few people but I think it is mainly down to driver skill
