Also if I posted the above on Forza's forums, regardless of if I removed the swearing or not, my thread/posts would be locked/deleted...

You bought Forza 3 as a stand alone game based on the content in it. You did the same when you bought Forza 4, the Porsche issue was well publicised in plenty of time prior to release that nobody would assume it was in the game at release nor did they even state it would ever appear only that they would try to bring the marque back to the game.

They may well release more Porsche models in the future now the license is sorted (at a cost to develop the models and pay for the license itself) and at that point you'll be able to decide whether to buy or not depending on whether you feel it provides VFM.

There has been critical posts made over there, the very outspoken ones will get cleaned up particularly if they accuse T10 or MS of underhand or misleading behaviour. That is covered as being unacceptable under the forum rules/T&C in the same way posts are screened on here or indeed any forum.

lol @ should be free.

The price was for the content sold to you at launch/whenever you bought the game. You were happy enough to part with the cash at that point in time so quit moaning. Nobody is forcing you to buy it and if you don't feel it's good VFM vote with your cash and don't buy it.

Wow, hate to break it to you Turk but the only person moaning is you.

lolol

So what's your job title over at turn10?

Superb retort, I'd wager you're about 19? Seriously, it's no different to anything else you buy. Do you demand a refund on a TV when the price is reduced six months later or the seller throws in a Digibox that wasn't included when you purchased it?

I suggest you don't buy anything if you spit your dummy out and feel hard done by if a "better" deal is offered at a later date.

25 but good guess based on a one line post on a forum.

Where am I demanding a refund? I'm just stating that it's unreasonable to keep charging for DLC that should have been in the game in the first place. A sequel is supposed to improve on its predecessor. Forza 4 has done this in many ways, aside from overall content. It's almost entirely made up of re-hashed Forza 3 stuff. I appreciate that there aren't THAT many cars released since F3 for everything to be unique in the new game but charging for it is uncalled for. There are only minor differences from the F3 engine to the F4 engine. They would be able to import a Forza3 3d model with minimal work.

All they seem to do is release utter s**t and ignore the whole community despite their claims that everything is based on our input. Go look in the 'car wish list' threads on Forza's forums - so many are completely ignored and they continue to release useless crap. There's never any answers to any question that might dent the integrity of Turn10, it'll just get deleted or maybe a generic response to the question.

Subscribe to their facebook page and look at the comments for each of these Porsches they have announced. 99% of comments are negative. Yes some of them might be idiots but they still have an opinion that's being ignored.

Good god this is boring.

I had a similar tongue in cheek moan a few pages back, but tbh I would've paid a tenner for the Caymen R alone, it's awesome.

I can't wait to see Jay's reaction when T10 inevitably release the BRZ and GT86 in the same pack, lol. We definitely should be due a track pack though, please give us Spa!

'Turkish' appears to have the ability to make anything boring. May have to utilise the ignore list tbh.

I won't be purchasing any further DLC unless they release some new tracks.

Oh, and way too many f**king race cars in this pack T10. No one cares.

Like I say you're missing the point, you bought the title Forza 4 as seen. This is not the same as the fuss about Mass Effect 3 where DLC was physically on the disc and people were having to pay to unlock it.

Out of interest do you have the figures to hand of the financial cost to turn 10 to sub license Porsche from EA the sole license holders?

That was the issue, EA had NFS the run releasing at the same time as Forza 4, a title which is as big as the Gran Turismo series in terms of its profile so what better way to steal thunder from turn 10 and maybe bag a few more sales by denying them Porsche? Turn 10 had been very up front about the situation and exclusion of Porsche in the run up to release, it was all very transparent.

I'm not a blinkered T10 fanboy, there are plenty of iconic cars still missing and I've said as much on here before several times and I don't like every car they release in the DLC, but they have a very broad audience to appease. In addition manufacturers who will have no doubt insisted on the inclusion of current models in a bid to use it as an advertising platform when car enthusiasts arguably want the older iconic cars which have more character. For each of us here complaining there is no Clio williams or 182 and that we don't want another muscle car there will be the same amount of americans complaining they don't want the Lotus cortina or Mk2 Escort because they're missing a 70's Dodge.

As for the GT86 IIRC Sony have exclusive rights to that on GT, so I'd guess it'll most likely be the Scion given T10 is based in the US.

Right, Mods were free for decades, it's only since Live came along that people decided it was ok to pay micro transactions for DLC. You keep that mind set though buddy. It's your money and you can spend it on whatever you like lovely

Mods on PC games, which funnily enough also include official paid for DLC packs. People know when they buy a console they're signing up for what is effectively a closed platform without community created free mods be it tracks/cars in the case of a driving game.

I do love forza but turn 10 are milking this cash cow for every penny. I'm starting to wonder if we will ever see any additional tracks. Why don't they listen to the community and stop releasing sh1t cars that no one cares about. I guarantee that if this was a Sony developer there would be a lot of Microsoft fan boys ripping it to shreds.

You could argue that it's like the COD series. As long as people keep buying the DLC they will keep churning it out.

Does sound a bit crap when you put it like that, doesn't it

Yeah but they re-hash countless vehicles from a game I've already paid for (Forza 3) then expect me to pay for them again? Great business model when people choose to pay up, but turn10 constantly disappoint their community

I do think it's a bit much having a dlc you have to pay for every month, however your statement goes for the whole of Forza 4 not just the porsche pack. Most of the cars in the whole game were in Forza 3. If they didn't use cars that were in the previous game it would be a pretty short roster.

But still they are a company and their main goal is to make money which is working cus we will all cough up the money for it haha. Same with all the forza games to come most likely.

I didn't get round to driving a GT3 or GT3 RS, the 2.7RS is a fun drive especially with some mild mods and the sleeper look the despoilered rear lid and optional bumpers give is great.

An S700 GT2RS is a proper weapon in the right hands.

As long as said hands are not made of hand and clenched into a fist, it's a quick car.

What mods have you got on your? I only have slicks and width upgrade, the traction out of corners is so good other GT2 gets caught off guard.

The GT2 is brutal, has almost too much grip at the rear IMO. Mine's set up to be a fair bit twitchier that standard, I love it.
