I know you lot aren't really into the R3 class cars but whack every modification on the 1995 911 GT2 (full aero is a must) and holy s**t its awesome only had a quick go before I came of so I haven't even touched the tuning yet, it shifts and puts the power down surprisingly well considering it starts of as an A class car.

Yeah I managed to get the RUF to handle very well if maybe lacking the turn in on the high speed bends. Ill see how I tuned that and copy it then see where I go from there.

I like to have my cars set up quite soft, bit of toe in at the rear end and a small amount of toe out at the front; but the normal settings I apply make the 911's bottom out way too easily - even the front end! Very strange. More tinkering needed...

Ahh I usually make my cars stiffer but it all depends how it feels from the start, I also try to avoid any toe in as whenever I set toe in it seemed to really compromise cornering speed sometimes even up to .5 toe out on the rear with some of my cars.

I get the feeling my attempt to tune up is going to do my head in lol, hate spending ages to then decide its actually handling worse than before and I end up resetting all the tuning I just spent the last half hour doing lol.

Haha oh don't get me wrong I seem to have plenty of bad handling cars lol. I have a bit of obsession with trying to make cars you don't expect to be quick in there class to be quick, my R3 car list has some mental cars in like a 750+ hp exige that goes like a f**king rocket pisses over most things up to 150mph handles a bit dodgy though so you have to utilise the speed.

Haha 2nd is iffy blip the throttle and it'll stick though 3rd well you can put it into 3rd at about 20mph and it will still go like a rocket because it weighs f**k all.

I have a vantage with over 1000bhp too ;) I will have to share a few with the club garage.

I'm really enjoying the Porsche pack, there's definitely an improvement in the physics engine since F3 you can really tell from the traction and the way the weight transfers (particularly on the older models) that the engine is nailed to the rear number plate. Spent most of a race last night Scandinavian flicking my mildly tuned 2.7 RS in to bends and hammering the throttle open to slide it through.

Under steer city.

If you have a habit of braking too late and taking the wrong line the weight balance will punish you with it.

You can also dial a lot out with camber/toe and roll bar adjustments so that even hamfisted corner entries won't punish you too much.

LOL, I'm proper ham fisted :(.

I only play Forza occasionally, for the first 30mins I struggle to keep the car on track and use the accelerator, brakes like an On / Off switch :dead: Then I slowly get into the groove again.

If he doesn't, he's a homo.

You can only comment on the handling of any car if you use no aids, no ABS and manual clutch. FYI.

Have you switched the buttons over so the A button is the clutch? I remember trying it the other way on FM3 and gave up but with the right button setup it really is amazing!

I was trying to download the Porsche pack before I moved house last week and couldn't get it to work. No internet now until Mr Sky man comes grrrr. I'm going to use it as a fresh start with the clutch as I couldn't get on with it before. Some decent new tracks would be nice now though :)

The 959 is a bit of a handful - but not as bad as the '95 GT2. That takes skillz to pilot quickly. Really liking the GT3RS however - nicely balanced.

Also tried out the head-motion thingymebob via the Kinect this morning too. Really impressive that - subtle but effective imo. I can imagine how some people would find it a little off-putting - but glancing across (even slightly) towards the passenger A-pillar pans the camera just a little bit. Not too much to be daft, but enough to give you the feeling of looking 'into' the bend.

I doubt I'll be turning that feature off now.

Sounds like you've got it dialled in right, I've not got a kinect but I had a play with my brothers when he first had it and wasn't overly impressed went back a few weeks later once he'd adjusted the settings in game and was very pleasantly surprised. Works very well IMO.

Motoring through Career nicely now....really enjoy the Hot Lap section as well just trying to nail good laps

Finding the race cars a right pain with no aids and manual clutch, back end constantly wants to switch lol

s**t car pack.

The lack of Season Pass is annoying.

If I hadn't got a load of cheap points yesterday I'd probably give this a miss.
