Forza is Epic, In F3 the cars handled so well and the controls were spot on.

As for the Gaystation GT5 was a massive wait for such a massive let down.

It's playable providing you use a decent wheel with GT5.

On every other count though, it's a huge letdown.

Never tried GT with a wheel, but could never get on with Forza with one! No idea why. Weirdly I'm the opposite on F1 - I'm much quicker with a wheel than a pad, much more fun too

I'm hoping those shots are a hint they've sorted out colouring/reflection/saturation issues that Forza suffered in comparison to GT.

An M car with decent offset?! Looks promising?

I don't understand why they're announcing 'car packs' already though? Just stick them in the game to start off with, you greedy b******s.

I couldnt care less if the graphics stay as they are in them photos, they are more then sufficient, now they just need to nail together the missing pieces from past games.

And what exactly is missing from Forza 3?

Tbh, they could make exactly the same game with more tracks (Spa!) and cars and happily buy it. I couldn't give a feck about kinect, either.

Wow those cars look stunning. I was thinking of selling my 360 as I barely play games anymore but might have to keep it a bit longer now.

I'm tenting already.

Unlike GT5, you know this is going to play amazingly too.

I really want Spa to make it in this time, as well as sorting out the offset issues some cars have.

It's due an October release, so we should see a demo in September, if it's like last time with Forza 3.

Aside from the really weird pendulum effect, GT5's great with a wheel. It's shocking with a pad though, and the sound's duff.

Don't even get me started on the 'Standard' cars from GT4. lol.

Knows mate. Spa would be immence. I'd also love some older hot-hatches, but can't see it happening.

The GF goes back to uni September, ideal replacement tbh.

Pendulum effect?

Lol about the sounds and standard cars, something that Forza will no doubt always be better at!

The one thing I do like about GT5 is that the CPU messes up, something that Forza doesnt seem to do in my experience. Its always very uniform, so if Forza could incorporate that it would be an epic game!

You've played Forza 3 right? Because I'm sure it does it, although it doesn't do it very well.

LOL. Yup. Every car on GT5 sounds like an electric lawnmower.

I'll agree with you about the AI. I've seen the AI make mistakes on Forza, but not often.

Definitely an area to improve. Mind you, I only play it with regulars on here nowadays anyway, and all of us are pretty pro now.

I've played with a couple of people on here before but doubt i'd be that good!

And what exactly is missing from Forza 3?

The point to point they had in earlier games
pops and bangs with flames more prominent
some pretty important tracks missing
Weather effects
different times of day.

Add all that and id be happy :)

Point to point is in Forza 3 kaido and nurburgring have it. Granted the Tokyo environment and a couple of others from forza 1 are missing though.

Forza AI does make mistakes but it's more pressure related, if you've been all over the back of them for a few turns or laps it presses them to make them. People running AWD missle cars that charge past all the pack before a lap is out due to massively over classed car for the event obviously won't see that.

  1.8 Civic EX
The AI messes up more on F3 on the lower difficulty too...I've dropped it down to easy simply to finish the game (only need the last achievement, gold in every event) and there is always at least one car that ends up in the gravel per race.

To add to the list of wants:

improved damage - to the point of the car coming to a complete stop, eg hammering round a track in first gear actually having an effect on the engine etc, maybe even wheels coming off, a bit more like GRiD would be good (I know GRiD was more of an arcade racer but the damage was awesome!)

The damage is already pretty decent IMO. Look at GT5 for an example of how not to do it. lol

Wheels coming off would be funny, as would bonnets, boots etc. But not essential.

  1.8 Civic EX
agreed certainly not essential and you're right compared to the GT5 it's already pretty amazing lol, just think it would be a nice touch to "finnish it off"

Mint.

Pretty happy i didn't sell my Xbox now! Time to dust it off. Never should of let my mate 'borrow' my Forza 3.
