found a bargain today

  07 Campus Sport 1.2
was in tkmaxx today having a nosey and of all the things to find, a snow foam attachment for a garden hose. its not a fancy one but seems pretty robust, 9 adjustable spray settings, adjustable water/soap mix and option to have soap on or off. reduced down to 7 quid, havent used it yet but will try it once the weather clears up a bit.

bargain!

pics of it? The standard karcher attachment one is only about a tenner anyway, and it's not too bad.

Damn I'd buy one of those for £7!! There's a T K Maxx in Nuneaton, I'll pop in on Saturday and see if they have any!

Guys guys guys, before you rush out and buy, there is a difference (surprise surprise);

The one you guys have found, while there is nothing wrong with it, will be a Glimour-esque hose attachment - when used with snow foam/shampoo, you will get this affect;

The second is a lance attachment for a pressure washer, the pressure being the key thing here. Normal hose attachments don't have the necessary pressure to create the shaving foam effect that clings to your paint work and cleans off the dirt, like this;

It depends how you look at it buddy. I bought one as my father saw them and asked for one for Xmas. He was a little bit of a guinea pig tbh as I knew it wouldn't have the desired effect. In fact I think I still have it hanging around somewhere, couple of quid for postage and it's yours.

It's great for getting shampoo over the body work if the car holds a lot of water (i.e. the water doesn't bead or sheet off, like it will on a well protected car). But other than that, it is pretty redundant.

And bearing in mind it is 15% towards your foam lance... best off saving IMHO.

Hmmm I may not bother then.

My pressure washer died so can't be bothered speeding £50-£100 on a washer, and then another £30-£75 on a lance.

I've always had the opinion of not buying s**t. Might aswell save up for the proper thing because at the end of the day you're going to upgrade from it anyway, so in theory it costs you less in the long run.

+1

Buy cheap, you buy twice. Might as well pay that bit extra and get something that works much better and will probs last longer than a cheaper alternative.

  Maybe a 172 Cup..
Liking the comparison pics JD.

Clio looks like an attempt at Bukkake record.
TT looks like Adrian Moles first tug.

Have only got basic halfords pressure washer, will have to find out which fitment I need, and give some of this snow foam a whirl I think..

Ive been waiting for my cheap pressure washer to die! To justify getting a new branded one and a lance. But it won't die it's been going 14 months or so cost me £15 and it's foam attachment although not as good as a lance is more foamy than the other option. Do they do an lance attachment to cheap pressure washers? JD???

Depends what "cheap" brand it is fella. They do attachments for all and ***I think*** you can swap them over with a little bit of know-how.
