Yeah i have a hummy 9200 aswell, can't fault it as a stand alone PVR, the only problems i have is trying to transfer off the movie files using the USB2 port to my laptop, my box appears to lock up and then you get file transfer errors.

id avoid the humax as it needs to find the epg tv listings evertime you switch it on ive considred them both but im still undecided :(

Humax need to address the problem of slow EPG population, the workaround is when you switch on the hummy, you set it to BBC1, then bring up the PIP and set that to Channel 3, give it a few minutes and then the EPG will be fully populated.

If i were you, i would not totally discount the Hummy, it still is a very good PVR for the money, and very easy to upgrade the HDD, unlike some PVR's/Sky boxes that had the operating system installed on the HDD aswell.

Humax here also!

Great bit of kit! well worth the cash - yeah it can be slow updating EPG and is a little loud but overall great.

my dads got the humax and the EPG thing is very annoying, and it hasn't got series link.

I got the free BT Vision V-Box and its great, has no EPG problems, even has 2 weeks worth and does series link.

Would highly recommend it for free if you have BT Broadband.
