Front Brake lock Failed MOT - 03 clio 172

  MKV Golf GTi (240bhp)
I just had my first MOT done and low and behold it failed on the brake effiencey test - my drivers side front brake does not release and keeps locking on the brake disk after i release the brake pedal

i had notice some slight pulling to the right before i had the mot done but kind of ignored it. I'm going down to mike at retech to get it sorted but we are quite confused on what the problem could be

the garage i had the MOT done took the caliper apart and said that it was very free moving and said that it was likley to be the brake hoses - which are braided - am using the ferodo / bremo disk and pad kit

any ideas or anyone with the same problem?

cheers

Duncan

Bleed the fluid. Some calipers have hed trouble sticking before now.

it was a problem i had before i got the braided hoses fitted - and at that time the fluid was blead. if the caliper was free moving could it still need replacing? is it possilbe that it could be the master cylinder or do you think its just a case of having the brakes blead again and then run through the mot?

If its free moving it should be fine.

Hopefully its not the master clyinder, if it is I know of one from a 1.2 which I'm sure will fits for sale.
