Front Tweeters

just wondering is it possible to pop the current tweeter grills of or is it a must that i have to remove the hole top of the dash?

wana replace my current tweeters with my infinity comps at somepoint, prob will have the tweeters in the current tweeter position but will loose the oem tweeter grill and position the tweeters pointing towards the driver + passenger. not to sure on pulling the top of the dash of...sounds a fair size job.

any suggestions welcome

no its appart of the dash i believe dash comes out in 5 mins , easy to do

The tweeter grills just spin/twist off in my 172.

If so, they're technically damaged AFAIK.

Nah its the same in mine, they will come out with some persuasive twisting.

yep just found out today twist clock wise 45degrees roughly then they pull out and then the tweater itself unclips

they do twist out, but again, they're not supposed to

however, by using the existing speaker cable, you'll end up with a full-range signal coming from the speakers therefore causing a degree of damage

get your dash off and get some proper speaker cable in there
