Frozen calipers?

Urgh, went to move the car this morning and back wheels were locked up. Sprayed them in de-icer, and then hot water to melt the ice, took about 15 minutes of waiting for it but wheels finally moved. Theres still an awful lot of drag however but it managed to get me to work. Is this common on a 197? I know to leave handbreak off on cold nights now though and just leave in gear. Thanks

Couple of people here complained of it too - 1 was a passat, and the other a Citreon people carrier.
Mine were a bit sticky this morning, but it soon came off when I started to pull away.

Unsure whats up with mine. Driven about a fair bit this morning, still drag and a smell of burning. Must be seized!
