Fuel computer in 172 Cup?

  Maybe a 172 Cup..
Am test driving a '53 plate Cup tomorrow:) . Have previously had a 172ff, but have never driven a Cup to date. Was wondering if fuel computer was something removed from Cup?
Cheers, Aboo......

  172cup
slightly off topic... but i knew a guy who drove a ff172 for 2 years, and didn't know it was there. And when i done the mini-self-diagnostic thing... he pretty much wet his pants.

lol...

yup but if you press the tiny rod (while it's saying "oil ok" at start up) actually on the bottom of the dash that clears the milage/fuel counters etc it will give you the level in square blocks rather than just "oil ok" on the LCD.

I've only owned a 172 & 182 but I'm pretty sure it's the same on the other models tbh. It probably goes without saying but make sure you are on level ground in the same way you would if using the actual dipstick under the bonnet.

  Maybe a 172 Cup..
Just as a bit of an up-date, went for test-drive and OMFG!!! I have owned a few 'performance' cars previously[172ff and mk 3 vr6 golf], but have always been a bit dissapointed on first test-drive, not with the Cup though, amazing car!! [although I know I'm preaching to the converted anyway]have recently took out a Skoda VRS and Leon Cupra[ both old shape] and even If I had one and got it mapped, my money would still be on the Cup.
Particular car was at a garage, but had too many owners [5], and was way too much compared to other prices I've seen, particularly with no evidence of any belts been done, at least I know what I'm looking for now though:D . As the car has no ABS, and from reading posts is very 'lively' in wet/damp/frosty/snowy/moist, anything other than bone-dry conditions, was wondering if anyone can vouch for the difference the Brembo discs & Ferodo pads with Dot 4 make? Just need to find the car now [ps comp was saying 34.1, as per original post;) ]
