Fuel Consumption Calculator!

Ok, so I got bored and decided to write a Fuel Consumption Calculator.. hehe.. so I got it finished, and tested it out with mine (I got 160 miles from 19.76 litres)...

Look at the result! And Ive been thrashing it - the joys of having a 1.2 eh?!

Hah... Looks like you need my mega cool application KDF..

Its shareware - works for one calculation, then you have to pay £250 + vat + delivery and then £100 every year to update subscription.

Its VB.. I wanted something quick and easy to do ... I can make a VB app in no time - I still reckon its one of the best Microsoft languages.. theres not much it cant do in Windows..

Heres some pics of my spreadsheet; I can email you a copy if you want it!! It shows fuel consumption per tankful and also logs mileage against number of days since I bought the car!

You can see where Im working abroad as there are a few stretches where I dont do much mileage and then when Im back I go beserk..!!

Haha yea.. Ive seen them somewhere before Im sure. On a Williams For Sale page.

I couldnt be bothered with logging every single petrol fill up I do.. hehe.

Yeah, all my mates take the piss but Im gonna keep it up..! I suppose it is pretty anal but only takes 2 secs to write down the mileage on each receipt... you never know, might add 50p to its value if I ever sell it!

hahaha.. Unless it goes down to 10mpg and the only reason is full bore in every gear for the last year.. hah.

Keeping below 4000rpm is the secret to mid 30s mpg, but my Pipercross induction kit doesnt start growling till after 5k..! And thats gotta be the most addictive and pedestrian scaring noise ever..!!

yea, I like the rev limiter too much to be bothered with the 40+ mpgs.. hehe.

my 1.2 16v had good fuel consumption figures when I got it!!! My figure isnt much better than the 172 since the ECU update, according to the computer im getting 38mpg and I dont take my car above 4k RPM!!! It should be and used to do around 46-48mpg!!!

mines the same too. i get 33mpg if im lucky. and it feels sh*t slow since my tank went empty then filled up. loss of power. think ive damages summat
