fuel left on trip computer(182)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this but does any one know how i get the fuel left display to work on the trip computer.
i re-set millage the other day and have done 20 mils since, Well over the 400 meteres it says in the book it takes to reset but it still has 4 lines.
Any help would be great thanks

4 lines ?? Did it come up with the " oil ok " message ? What happens when you press the button on the end of the stalk to scroll through the trip computer ?

It should definately give you a reading after 30 seconds or so. Do the other trip computer things work.

My oil OK message has stopped coming up, whats that about ^

Your " oil ok " message should only come on if your on level ground when you start your engine .

yep every thing else comes up ok millage,oil check,mpg etc but when ever i go to the one for fuel left it just has like 3-4 lines

it scrools through it fine i can see everything else just the fuel left doesnt seem to want to reset

^^^^ Weird one that , if nothing was workin the i could understand that , but not to have the fuel left one not workin , i don't know . I'm guessin that it must be a sensor not working ??

hrm maybe its still under warranty ,u think i should take it in??

mileage left, so will use the fuel level, and MPG to calculate the miles left..

maybe electronic problem on the computer system? warranty.

I only get the 4 dashes when the car has less than 40 miles worth of petrol left, or when the red fuel light comes on. Sounds like you might need to reset the ecu. The sensors are obviously fine because the other read outs work its just not calculating the miles left. Do a search on reseting but its basically disconnecting the battery then putting all your codes for radio, immob etc after. Or if its in warranty just get renault to do it.

my comp doesnt tell me how much fuel ive got..

for that i have to start the car witht the stalk in trick to find how many litres left.

i try to allways keep it over half full which it is now ,As its still under warranty might just pop it into renault thanks for the help everyone

dont get it turbocharged then everthing goes potty when you put your foot down! 6mpg! half tank it reads 80miles left to emty! when you drive like a grandad though it reads near 50mpg and just over the red 100miles left!potty.

Yeah get old Renault to sort it out
